Important actors in the development of SF:ius as an association will be treated retrospectively, fragments of the emerging archive will be presented, and SF:ius will be placed on the time map of the development of independent culture in Zagreb.
As part of the all-day gathering in the area of the Multimedia Institute, at 1 p.m. there will be a discussion about the process and meaning of collecting testimonies in the formation of archives and self-documentation of the association's activities.
The conversation will be attended by visual anthropologist Ivor Glavaš, ethnologist and cultural anthropologist Tomislav Augustinčić and curator Dario Vuger.
The program is financed by Kultura nova Foundation, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and the City Office for Culture of the city of Zagreb.
The association SF:ius was founded with the aim of researching, analyzing and giving voice to interesting untold stories from the "social fringes". The work uses an interdisciplinary methodology that includes, but is not limited to, art, cultural practices and social analysis. Since its establishment in 2012, the association actively participates in shaping and promoting a critical position on socially and culturally important topics, emphasizing work outside the centers, international cooperation, cooperation with local communities and promoting alternative perspectives.
